Give a little reason why as well. I'm going to leave Kakashi out of my list because it's pretty obvious he's top of it anyway  1. Laxus Dreyar from Fairy Tail - In the early days of the series, he just exuded arrogance. This guy was stronger than everyone else and he damn well knew it. He's become more reserved as of late but every now and then he does something, a smirk here or there or just a pose that lets you know there's still a bit of the old Laxus there. 2. Sieg Hart from RAVE. Mostly for this: Spoiler: click to toggle He accepted his fate (which was horrible) and he took it like a man. This is not to mention a bunch of other stuff he pulled throughout the series. 3. Roy Mustang from FMA. The guy creates fires by snapping his fingers, what more do you need? I like his ambition as well, he was aiming to become Furher of the country and wasn't going to settle for anything less. He's a little cocky and is pretty laid back most of the time but when you piss him off you better be ready because he will wreck you. 4. Madara Uchiha from Naruto. Fighting 5 of the strongest people in the world? Meh, could be fun I guess. His ultimate technique was stopped because of circumstances outside of his control, so he refuses to use it again just to be a dick. Has insulted every single character he's met, including his allies. Will almost always be found stood around with his arms crossed, even when he's in a huge fight. He rarely acts like he cares about anything but you know that he could own anyone in this series right now if he felt like it. 5. Haschwald from Bleach. Yeah, out of all the Bleach characters I chose a new character with little screen time. You know why? IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER ---- Spike Spiegel - He's Spike Spiegel; but seriously. Great martial artist when it comes to JKD and has fought multiple people. He is typically great when it comes with guns and or explosives. His combat experience is maximum and his ability when it comes to war and or battles seems to be underrated; he USED to be in a syndicate and that is where he gets a good chunk of his experience from. So--Spike Spiegel for starters. Dr. Tenma - From the show Monster. He's probably one of the most realistic characters I've seen in Anime. He has a very amazing inner struggle on whether or not it's right to kill another human being, or any individual, regardless of "are they good," or "they are bad." Along with that--his skills as a neurosurgeon are top-knotch. He is more than willing to help ANYONE in need, his love for life, and living tops that of anyone I have ever seen. He STRIVES to live and he WANTS people to do the same. Even if someone is dying, he feels that he must do what he needs to, to save them--to help them--to keep their will to live strong. Genjo Sanzo - Saiyuki; this buddhist monk is probably one of the most badass characters I have seen in a while. He is good, he is bad--he is bad *****. He has a demonbanisher revolver, and decent hand to hand combat skills. Tasked to fight the demons in association with resurrecting Gyumaoh, he leads three demons in his team. What makes him badass? His witty remarks, his unmonkly lifestyle choices and his patience to put up with the rivalry of Son Goku and Sha Gojyo. Overall--if you watch a few clips of Sanzo you'll understand. He has great lines when it comes to WHY you fight, and WHY you should live. And not only that--he's a monk who smokes drinks and kicks *****. How often do you see those? Howl - Howl's moving castle; Why? The whole idea of it--he's a wizard on the run albeit from cowardice his skills are still far superior to anyone in the kingdom. How can we see this? Spoiler: click to toggle and he can turn into a bird. With the batman voice (english version). But seriously--as a magician I think his skills top any high rated Alchemist in FMA (since their alchemy is more like magic, in all honesty). Oh. And he can fix up his house and make it grow however he wants with his magic--and it's all ran by a fire demon.And number five will be a little bit hard to determine because it is from a Mecha series. The reason why I choose this character is going to be hard to determine. But the two I am choosing between would be Amuro Ray (Mobile Suit Gundam) and Van Flyheight (Zoids Chaotic Century). Both have fought in wars, but the difference is Amuro's ability to adapt to combat more easily than Van's. On a scale of 1-10, if Amuro were in a Zoid I think he could master it faster than Van. So I'm going to go with Amuro. Amuro Ray - The reason why I pick Amuro is the fact that as a newtype he really was only bred for war--much like Goku--he adapts to situations and manages to find ways to win against impossible odds. 1) Kurapica He has one goal in Hunter X Hunter, and that's to destroy the Phantom Troop, who were responsible for wiping out his entire clan. Let me paint this picture for you, this organization is made of a bunch of the world's strongest guys that the world all feared, yet he was willing to face them all alone for revenge. To date he still owns the #1 spot for me with badass fights. Exhibit A: 2) Laxus ~ Copy explained why. 3) Ichigo Kurasaki  ^First off this image is just badass in itself. Ichigo is that guy who just wants to protect those he cares for. He invaded Soul Society to save Rukia against all odds (literally). He invaded Hueco Mundo to save Inoue against the same odds. He has that will like no one else. One awesome moment: 4) Rurouni Kenshin  (Hard to find good image of him) He used to be part of the military strength of Japan, but after the war he realized he didn't want to kill anymore so he went around the world as a wanderer. Not too later though a small group was trying to take over Japan and no one stood a chance except Kenshin. He had to transform into that badass again and man was it epic! He had an awesoem theme too: 5) Kirito (Sword Art Online)  What's there to say? He got trapped in a game where if you die you die in real life. the series is only 21 episodes in. No spoilers, just go watch his baddassness guys  |

1. Zoro.... This guy appeared to be totally drunk and due for a big hangover, and then later that night single-handedly defeated/partly killed 100 bounty hunters. This guy came within one second of cutting off both of his legs (got halfway), so that he could continue fighting rather than just die, and was once willing to cut off his own hand for a similar reason. This guy fight with wounds that would kill a normal person, wounds that freak out even the most hateful and violent pirates who themselves are capable of lifting houses. This guy robs people who try to rob him, and scares people away with a single look. Attacks anybody regardless of social status or how strong they are if they mess with him or do something he thinks is wrong. Also has a tonne of badass lines. 2. Guts - Again will fight anybody, even demons, and rarely shows fear. Will protect others, and single handedly beat 100 men, despite not really having superhuman strength at the time. then a huge gap.... 3. Whitebeard....never fell over, and never ran away. Opposed the world government and emancipated people worldwide by using his name to protect them from plunder or unwanted invasions. 4. Matsudaira Katakuriko (family name 1st) from Gintama - This guy isn't as honourable as Zoro or even Guts, but he's downright crazy. He's the head of the police, and rarely appears, but in the chapters and episodes he's been in he's told the commander of the Shinsengumi that he has until the count of 3 to answer, and then shoots after counting 1 number (did something like this twice in the anime ep, once in the manga chapter), blew up a delivery truck by shooting it because they crashed into it and he thought (or claimed to think) that it was an assassin, even though it clearly wasn't, ran over a civilian and claimed it was an assassin, and in the anime did other crazy stuff to that effect, using the claim that he was dealing with an assassin as an excuse. In another episode he tried to kill his daughter's boyfriend while they were on a date to a fairground because he didn't like his attitude, and in another ep rescued his daughter and her friends from dozens of armed kidnappers with no physical help, just radio assistance. 5. Scar from FMAB. Single handedly took out powerful people who had waged war on his people, and had cool lines when he was delivering their sentences, unlike Wrath.... Mention to Kamui from Gintama, for just being a total psycho who enjoys blood and killing people, and the rest of the time constantly smiling. When he's on screen I'm always scared that someone is about to be killed or have a limb ripped off, even if he's surrounded by allies. |

Zoro was a badass from the moment he told Mihawk to kill him in the first arc and even dropped his swords and gave him a clear shot. Was epic *****. |

 1. Spike Spiegel - Cowboy Bebop: Obvious. If you don't know or agree, then we have completely different opinions on what a badass is lol  2. Van of The Dawn - Gun X Sword: A seemingly carefree guy with a dark past. Every thing about Van is badass. He has all these broads after him and rejects them because all he cares about is revenge for example.  3. Nicholas D Wolfwood - Trigun: An Ex-Gung-Ho Guns member turned preacher. He uses his giant crucifix as a weapon. It holds many pistols and can be used as a large machine gun or a missile launcher of some sort. He tries to cling to his Christian ways but isnt afraid to get his hands dirty.  4. Mugen - Samurai Champloo: A break-dance style fighting samurai. Enough Said  5. Justice - Afro Samurai: Little screen time but he is so insanely badass in the time he does appear on this underrated series. He is the villain of villains. Appearance is so freakin badass and hes voiced by Ron freakin Pearlman! Figured the ladies deserved their own section. Almost had to throw some of these in the top 5 overall 1. Motoko Kusanagi - Ghost in the Shell 2. Revy - Black Lagoon 3. Hot Ice Hilda - Outlaw Star 4. San - Princess Mononoke 5. Yoko - Gurren Laggann List is always changing probably for me but for now you cant deny these badass characters. Edited by Noir, Dec 8 2012, 05:40 AM.

In no particular order and really, not even a top 5, just a list of people that are badasses. 1.) Alexander Anderson: The single most epic fuc*king paladin to walk the earth. Went up and took the King of Vampmires, Alucard and his entire army literally single handedly, then almost beat the unholy sh*t out of him with Helena's Nail. Basically, he's the only character in Hellsing that Alucard not only treated with utmost respect, he's the only character to actually push Alucard past his limits and fight seriously which only leads up to his tearful and outright awesome death at the end. I'll repeat this, this man took on an army of the undead, nearly took out the main vampire himself, and then earned Count Dracula's respect. 2.) Fate/Zero Alexander/Iskandar: Dear lord, be it the 2011 anime or the Novel, Rider was a beast. Everything about him, his looks, his personality, everything about is so damn cool that you can't help but like him. Plus he's literally the only person in the entire Nasuverse who ever took on a serious Gilgamesh. And by took on, I mean he took a thousand swords to the face without stopping. This man earned the single most self-righteous and arrogant character in the entire Nasuverse' respect. Do you know how many people Gilgamesh respects...including Alexander and Enkidu...zero. The most he has is a perverse lust for Saber. 3.) Bando: I'm a huge fan of the Elfen Lied man, fu*k the anime and by all that is holy Bando is easily the most bada** character in the manga. Mostly because he's the only human capable of kicking horned a** and by god is he good at it. Everyone else is getting torn up, he's coming in and beating the hell out of everyone. Blowing up missiles in people's faces, cracking a man's face open and putting a spiked metal ball of poison (That he ripped out of his own flesh) into the back end of the guy. And then he just goes up and manhandles Lucy so badly in their second fight that she needs two interferences while Bando is stomping her face into the dirt. And then he gets cut in half...and lives. That's right...in about four months, Bando starts walking around after getting cut in half because you just can't kill the personification of pure badas**ery. 4 King "Wrath" Bradley: You know who I'm talking about. Everything Wrath does in FMA is pure, undiluted awesome sauce. There is no need to describe anything, just know that... Healthy King Bradley>>Azathoth>God Father>Pride>~Old King Bradley>>>>>>>>>Tank>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The rest. 5.) Legato Bluesummers: There's a reason the guys in my avatar. A cold and cool figure in the anime...an outright horrific psychopathic bada** int he manga. Have you seen the sh*t this guy pulls off in the manga. For those who don't I'll lay it down for you. He fights Vash, pushes him past his limits and then forces him to finally kill him while breaking his mind substantially. ...With a broken spine. I'll repeat that again. Legato is doing flips and flying through the air, swinging around a massive bullet shooting spiked ball on a chain...while paralyzed from the neck down. Good lord. and there's a ton of other bada** people I could've mentioned too. |

Yeah, he was pretty damn badass. He didn't care who he was up against or what the odds were he went full steam ahead. He was the coolest in the series, besides Saber for me. I wish he had a better master though, if he had I think he would of had a chance to get the grail. |
